The Lock Down

The Lock Down

It all happened so suddenly....or did it? Were the warning signs there all this time, but we choose to ignore them? Did we feel that we were too modernize? Was over confidence oozing from our inner being? So many questions are hanging in the air.
The present situation seems unbearable to many; people are finding it hard to cope. Movements are restricted, doors are being closed; spaces have become smaller, people are getting closer. Fear and doubt grip the atmosphere. The uncertainties that lie in the balance are becoming the new normal. Nothing is really what it seems anymore. Stories emerging from all corners of the earth, feelings of grief and despair are the new daily bread. Minds are becoming burdened with horrifying news. There's a stillness in the air that only can be explained by almost no one. The answers to questions are only privy to higher powers. Is there a lesson can be learned from all of this, LOCKDOWN? Can mankind make it thru this? There is no definite answer, no one really knows. But we can observe that.....................

Nature is finally getting a break from all the noise and pollution that mankind has created. Animals no longer fear to venture out in the open. You can now hear the rustling of leaves and the buzzing of the bees. You can actually hear yourself think. If we as humans are truly honest with ourselves, this is a time to be still amidst all the gloom and doom. We were moving too fast; trusting in our own vices not remembering, "it was He that created us not we ourselves". We are stripped of the false securities that we have adopted over the centuries. That sense of having it all together and don't need each other. But here we are faced with the stark reality that we are only mere mortals, here for a time and then we are gone. Let us wake up and smell the roses and seek what was meant to be our truest purpose on earth. Let us hold on to that thread of sanity that we have left and find a way to weave our lives a new garment; one that our Creator would be proud to display to his angels.

What is done cannot be undone, lives lost can never be relived. So let us live out the best of what we have left, let us pray for those who are suffering and in pain. Let us let go of all the hatred and the darkness within and maximize on the seconds, the minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or years we have left. Don't become daunted but be encouraged; believe that "every cloud has a silver lining" and that "weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning".

So remember "L.O.C.K.D.O.W.N is a time to
L-isten to God's voice and reflect.
O-bey His word and His teachings.
C-all on Jesus' name and becalmed.
K-now what is the purpose of all this.
D-well in His presence. Do not panic.
O-ffer a prayer for everyone's safety.
W-ait and be patient. This too shall pass.
N-uture our personal relationship with Him." (Adopted)

  2. You know, this ain't so sudden as it may seem. I mean, almost a decade ago I've watched a movie know as "Contagion" and it depicts the capability, effects, and causes of what would go down if it ever goes down. Heck, now we're just living it, this time, in real life.
